Proteq was formed in 1996 from, Professional and Technical Quality Assurance and Inspection Services Limited established in 1991.
Background
During 1996 the company underwent a change of emphasis in its trading patterns. Originally an Inspection and Quality Assurance company, the company re-directed its efforts, to better suit our client’s requirements within the Oil, Gas and Energy sectors to provide comprehensive Industrial Roped Access, Steeplejack and Lightening Protection services to meet the needs of our clients. The company has always strived to maintain its position as a Full member of the IRATA and ATLAS trade associations.

As a company we have grown steadily since inception in 1996.
From the outset we have always strived to maintain the highest attainable standards, this has enabled us to build an enviable track record and reputation with our clients, all of this has been achieved with a proactive approach towards safety, and continued investment in our highly trained workforce.
We are fully verified operator members of ATLAS for steeplejack works, we are also approved by the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association for general building, cladding, cleaning and inspection works at height using rope access. All of our staff members are fully trained to a minimum of IRATA level 1 and most hold CITB accreditations in various trades. Our staff also hold PCN accreditations in UT, DPI & MPI for inspection works, supplemented with fully qualified CAA pilots.
